John C. came to FreedomWorks in October 2022 through our partnership with Nuway. John believes that if he had gone to any other sober house, he would not be alive today. On John’s first day at FreedomWorks he attended Thursday Night Connections. The uplifting spirit of that evening is what has kept John at FreedomWorks and motivated to work through his program. John successfully completed his Nuway program in January 2023 and moved to the ReEntry & Aftercare floor. While in that program, John has gotten his driver’s license back and found a job that he enjoys.
Recently John’s son has come to FreedomWorks. Darrell is John’s second to youngest of ten kids and is now motivated to make a change in his life so he can be a part of his child’s life. Not only was this a way for John to reconcile with his son, but now generations of John’s family are impacted because he came to FreedomWorks, and Darrell will have an opportunity to reconcile and be a part of his child’s life.
