For nearly 20 years, FreedomWorks has effectively reduced the recidivism rates for Minnesota through our Christ-centered reentry programs. We have created pathways that enhance job search skills, job readiness, professional networks and access to educational opportunities for the formerly incarcerated, which is essential to their reentry success.
Now, in 2023, we are reimagining our work and diving into new collaborations to build upon our success as a leading nonprofit that provides stability for those seeking support as they reenter society. That support was recently expanded to serve 40 additional men, women, and veterans coming out of incarceration and addiction into a transformed life. Our new facility is located at 47th and Lyndale in North Minneapolis and is in need of significant repairs to bring it up to FreedomWorks standards.
Phase One renovation projects include: a new upper flat roof, HVAC upgrades, constructing walls, landscaping, painting, suspended ceilings and lighting fixtures, new flooring, and upgraded security systems.
