The FreedomWorks family both grieves and celebrates the homegoing of one of the Lord’s precious servants and most vigorous warriors in HIS Kingdom.  Joseph Cornelius Sutton was called home at the age of 62 on March 1, passing away peacefully in his home.  Joseph is a man who has touched many lives and cultures during his time of ministry.  He is a man who wore many hats and took on many roles as he became “all things to all men, that he might win some”.  He is known by many as Pastor; Bishop; Brother; Dad; and Friend.  If you had the opportunity to know him personally, you would quickly find out that his most treasured role, and area of service was that as husband, lover, and friend to his wife Leila.  Pastor Joe has always had a heart and passion for what society considered as the undesirable in our world.   Joining the FreedomWorks board of directors in 2018, Pastor Joe continued his legacy of investing and empowering men in need of counsel, direction, and example as they took steps to transition from a life of bondage to a life of freedom.  His influence and impact at FreedomWorks will be sorely missed: we look forward to continuing the work in light of his inspiration and example.
