I know the feeling of having to start my life over from nothing, being alone, scared and wondering how to provide for my children. So, I knew God was providing baby formula through the Bread of Life Food shelf when we received a box during a major shortage.
We were able to provide that formula directly to Candy, a mother at Healing House. Her 3-month-old son, Malachi, had been sick with reflux and needed the special liquid Similac formula. Candy had not been working yet and was not getting food subsidies. She had been paying out of pocket for this expensive need. She told me she prayed, asking God how she was to find something that was so hard to get. It is so amazing to be the hands and feet of Jesus and see that indeed the “Little ones to him belong, they are weak, but He is strong.”
