George Lang has been an icon in the ministry of FreedomWorks for many years. While he wasn’t the founder of the ministry, he has been the provoker of growth and development at FreedomWorks for the past 18 years. His vision, commitment, and impact has moved the ministry from a small group on Penn Avenue to a bustling, growing ministry at two locations- the Emerson Campus and the Lyndale Annex.
It’s now time for George to take a break with the opportunity for renewal and restoration. George needs some time for self-care and as a Board of Directors, we desire that George has the time and space to do so.
To that end, George will take a three-month sabbatical effective March 6. Ron Habegger, the interim Chief Financial Officer for nearly the past year, will assume the Executive position during this sabbatical period. Ron is well suited for this leadership position, and we look forward to his role in continuing on the path that George has paved.
Please join us in prayer for George, his wife Ana, and his family as he seeks renewal and restoration, that he may hear God’s words of love, care, and calling during this time.
