Your financial support enables us to be a lamp to those that need rescuing.

Thank you for considering FreedomWorks in your Giving plans.

It is exciting to see how God continues to bless His ministry at FreedomWorks.  Our budget has grown from $300,000 while at Penn to $2.4M in 2022.  To put it mildly God has had FreedomWorks on a fast track of growth during these last four years, but I assure you, He is not done with us yet. Together with George, the board has put together a strategic plan that will guide us as we seek to fulfill our mission of helping men and women released from incarceration through Christ-centered programming.  In 2023, we will launch JailBreakers Catering which will offer participants on-the-job training in the culinary arts.  Simultaneously, participants will engage in job readiness courses, preparing them for full-time jobs in the marketplace.

In 2022 we hired key leadership that included a Finance Director, Chief Operating Officer and key positions needed to support programming. Additionally, we have hired Guy L, a FreedomWorks graduate and certified Cordon Blue Chef with over a decade of banquet and catering experience. Entering the new year, our team will advance the vision for our culinary and catering training programs.  Phases 1 and 2 teach participants hospitality training, food budgeting, inventory control, and volunteering with the Bread of Life Food Shelf. Phases 3 and 4 will provide up to 20 program participants in the treatment and reentry programs part-time training opportunities through culinary and catering. Our desire is to follow where God leads us so that FreedomWorks will be a beacon of light, sharing the Gospel to our Jerusalem (participants at FreedomWorks), Judea (our neighbors in north Minneapolis), and as He leads, to the ends of the earth.
