George Lang

Executive Director

George leads FreedomWorks as an example of a life transformed by Christ. Having served three prison sentences, he knows the struggles of reentry firsthand. George’s call to serve men comes from Isaiah 42:22 “These are my people hidden away in caves, dungeons and prisons with no one to speak for them.” George was raised in St. Paul and currently lives in Blaine with his wife Ana and their children.

Britt Jackson

Director of Human Resources & Administration

Britt’s story with FreedomWorks began as a daughter reconciling with her father during his time in the FreedomWorks’ program.  After ten years as a licensed midwife and a long history of community service and organizing, she felt called to change careers and join the FreedomWorks team.  Britt is currently pursuing her MPH in Public Health/Health Sciences, and enjoys music, gardening, audiobooks, and spending time with her family.

Ethan Yang

Director of Program Development

God has been preparing Ethan and working within him to advance God’s kingdom by serving the needy. Ethan joins the FreedomWorks team to oversee all aspects of our Programs. Ethan is a constant learner who likes to read about different topics and watch the news.  He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, a master’s degree in organizational leadership and a juris doctorate in law.  Ethan and his wife like to travel and experience new food and culture in their free time.

Director of Residential Services

As Director of Residential Services, Marlin leads the recruitment, building and nurturing of our community partnerships, and residential program compliance

Finance and IT Director

As the Finance and IT Director, Mark oversees high-level financial strategy, as well as technology integration and modernization, strengthening the systems that support our growing organization

Finance Manager

Candy manages daily financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, timely processing, and strong internal controls. Her oversight strengthens the financial foundation that supports our mission and growth

Sheldon McMahon Desmond

Volunteer Engagement Manager

Sheldon oversees volunteer partnerships and the Bread of Life food shelf operations. His leadership strengthens community involvement while ensuring families in need are served with consistency and care.

Jailbreakers Catering

Leroy Duncan

Culinary Director

Duncan oversees JailBreakers On-The-Job training program, kitchen operations, and catering services. His leadership ensures excellence in food service and meaningful workforce development for the men we serve

Facilities

Joe Husman

Joe Husman

Director of Facilities

Joe is our full-time Director of Facilities. He has an Associates degree in Commercial HVAC. He was looking for a place to maintain his sobriety and work on his faith.  During his time at FreedomWorks, Joe has also served as mentor and volunteer.

Information Technology

Brandon Gohole

Brandon Gohole

Information Technology Manager

Brandon handles the systems, websites and technological needs of the Ministry. He is Kenyan, born and raised, and a Computer Science graduate from Augsburg University. He is keen, dedicated and an avid believer of the words in Matthew 6:33
