2 Timothy 2:2
And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others. (NIV)
George Lang, Director
George was raised in St. Paul and currently lives in Blaine with his wife Ana and their children. George and his family attend Emmanuel Christian Center in Fridley.
George leads FreedomWorks as an example of a life transformed by Christ. Having served three prison sentences, he knows the struggles of reentry firsthand. George’s call to serve men comes from Isaiah 42:22 “These are my people hidden away in caves, dungeons and prisons with no one to speak for them.”
Jeff Schwartz, Admin Coordinator
Jeff came to FreedomWorks in April 2015 having worked with two other business/ministries that work with people coming through reentry and recovery.
His heart is to work behind the scenes to help others be successful. Jeff’s organizational and administrative skills enable him to support the others as they lead this ministry.
Curtis Brittan, Chaplain
Curtis was raised in Los Angeles California and came to Minneapolis in 2001 with a burning call to go back into the prisons and jails with the love and compassion of Jesus Christ.
He got involved with ministries like Christian Restoration services for six years as a case manager, working with guys coming out of prison, jail, homelessness, and different treatment facilities. But it wasn’t until he found FreedomWorks that he began to move more into what God has called him to do.
God said to him while he was in prison, “They will believe you because you have been there.”
Steve Stoltz, Intake Coordinator
Steve has always been an encouragement to others in recovery and accountability to the guys at FreedomWorks as well as others in the local recovery community. He worked for FreedomWorks for two years, serving as the Residential and Intake Coordinator.
He is now back with us, continuing as the Intake Coordinator.
Steve Swinehart, Volunteer Coordinator
Steve came to FreedomWorks in the spring of 2017.
