On May 23rd we celebrated those participants that have graduated from one of our programs. Mentors, past participants, current participants, and staff came together to hear their story, share their experiences, and celebrate with their families.
Whether a guy came to FreedomWorks directly from prison, through NuWay or Partners in Behavioral Health, or from another treatment provider, they all have something to say about the benefits they received from their time at FreedomWorks. Joe was facing a five year prison sentence but was blessed with an opportunity to better himself, change his life. “It went from being a punishment to a blessing” to come to FreedomWorks. Clinton says that FreedomWorks “has been a good stepping stone” as he has had an opportunity to complete an Associate’s Degree while here.
While FreedomWorks has been a blessing for many graduates, three special graduates have been a blessing to FreedomWorks. Mike, Andrew, and Braden all went through a treatment program and then worked through a Twin Cities Rise job program and did an internship on the Program Team with us. Following their internship all three were hired on as Associate Coordinators. They all serve as an example of what can be accomplished through hard work and faith in the Lord.
A recent graduate also attended the graduation as an opportunity to visit with his mentor. Amongst other advice to the graduates, Eric comments on “so many doors have opened for me since I left FreedomWorks.” Listen to the full story here:
