We are excited to announce, as of April 6th FreedomWorks has officially launched the new Food Pantry.  It’s not only about the food though, but more about Jesus, our Bread of Life.  In Matthew 14 we read that thousands of people were coming to Jesus for healing.  Jesus, hearing that they needed to be fed, commanded His disciples to “feed them”.  Then in Acts we read that Jesus commanded His disciples to be “His witnesses both in Jerusalem and all Judea, in Samaria and even to the remotest part of the earth.”

The Bread of Life Food Pantry will assist in meeting the needs of our “Jerusalem,” the 155 residential participants in one of five reentry and recovery programs on the FreedomWorks campus.  One of our core principles in our programs is serving others.  Starting in June, the food pantry will allow our participants to serve our neighbors in bi-monthly community food outreaches.  These outreaches will not only provide food to those in need, but will also be a safe place for participants to share the Gospel, and be “His witnesses” to “Judea”, our surrounding neighbors in North Mpls.
